FAQ
How long do you ferment your products for?
It varies from product to product. The breads are fermented for about 24 hours, and scones/cookies are left to ferment for 12-24 hours.
How long does a sourdough loaf last?
Sourdough typically lasts about 5-7 days on average. To make sure it lasts longer you can cut off only what you need from your loaf (don't precut all slices). Keeping it in the bag it came in also helps a lot too!
What if I can't eat the whole thing right away?
You have 2 options! I make a Mini Classic Sourdough that is just about half the size of the full sourdough. You can also freeze your loaf as well either as a whole loaf or individual slices. If you freeze it in individual slices, it's best to pop them in your toaster oven to refresh it. You can also freeze the full loaf. To refresh it you'll just need to let it thaw, run the whole loaf under water in the sink and pop it in the oven at 425 for about 10 minutes.
How do I store my bread?
Because our bread is made without preservatives like store bought bread, it's best consumed within the first few days after baking but typically can last until 5-7 days after baking. If you aren't able to eat it all right away, freezing it is a great option. But if you are able to consume it quickly then storing it in the bag it came in will keep it fresh longer!
